Meijer Issues Recall on Frederik’s Dark Chocolate Almonds Due to Presence of Undeclared Cashews

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Meijer has issued a voluntary recall of select packages of Frederik’s Dark Chocolate Almonds due to the potential presence of dark chocolate-covered cashews in the product. The presence of cashews is not disclosed on the product label, which may pose a serious health risk to individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to cashews.

he recall includes Frederik’s Dark Chocolate Almonds in black stand-up pouches sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, and Wisconsin with a sell-by date of 05/07/2026 or 05/28/2026, and 8-count, 1.5-ounce multi-pack boxes with a sell-by date of 05/05/2026. No claim of illness in relation to this recall has been received by the meijer till date.

The recall was initiated after a customer reported the discovery of a mislabeled product.

Consumers who have purchased these items and have a cashew allergy or sensitivity should avoid consuming them and return the product to the customer service desk at any Meijer store for a full refund.
